Kim Castelin

Kim Castelin is a Program Specialist for the International Research and Agricultural Development Unit at Washington State University where she works on the Afghan Agriculture Extension Project. She has lived and worked in Morocco, Egypt, Tajikistan, Madagascar (where she did Peace Corps), and Afghanistan.

Castelin earned a Master of Science in Agricultural Economics with focuses in community development and regional economies and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies, both from the 银河 澳门. She also has experience working with livestock on cattle and sheep farms in Idaho.

She is particularly interested in branching her knowledge base to include agro-ecosystems and using program data to research motivators for technology adoption among extension workers and farmers in Afghanistan.
